Meet the Founder
Dominick Etienne
Dominick started DC Doggo in 2019 with a simple goal: to make high quality dog training more accessible, supportive, and results driven. He brings nearly a decade of experience in pet care and training, including time spent as the Training and Apprenticeship Program Manager at one of the region’s top pet resorts. While there, he led a team of dog trainers, developed a structured apprenticeship program, and designed training systems to support dogs with a wide range of behavioral needs.
Dominick specializes in behavior modification and personalized obedience programs that address real world issues. He is passionate about helping families understand their dogs on a deeper level and giving them the tools to live more harmoniously together.
He is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and actively trains and handles his German Wirehair Pointer, Kino, in both field and water work through the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association.
A Little More About Me
When I am not working with clients or training Kino, I spend most of my free time lifting weights, running, perfecting my espresso technique, playing video games, or spending time outdoors. I live in Silver Spring with my partner, Kino, and our cat Zuki, who makes sure life stays exciting. I love connecting with people who care deeply about their dogs and helping them build trust, communication, and confidence together!
