Walks should not feel like a constant crisis

Living with a reactive dog can make everyday walks feel tense and unpredictable. You may find yourself scanning for triggers, crossing the street, avoiding certain routes, or feeling embarrassed after a big reaction.

The 4-Week Reactivity Transformation gives you a focused plan for understanding your dog’s thresholds, improving leash communication, building better choices around triggers, and helping your dog recover faster after stressful moments.

This program is built for real life: neighborhood walks, apartment buildings, parks, sidewalks, and the surprise triggers that make reactivity so difficult to manage.

Built specifically for leash reactivity

This program is for dogs whose biggest struggle happens on leash around real-world triggers.

Skills and focus areas may include:

  • Barking, lunging, growling, or pulling toward triggers

  • Reactions toward dogs, people, bikes, cars, strollers, runners, or scooters

  • Understanding thresholds and reading body language before reactions happen

  • Building engagement and focus around distractions

  • Clear leash communication

  • Rewarding calm choices and interrupting inappropriate ones

  • Helping your dog recover faster after stressful moments

  • Creating a long-term plan for continued progress

Every dog's reactivity looks different, so the plan is customized around your dog's triggers, intensity, recovery time, environment, and current skill level.

Note: If your dog’s main struggle is separation stress, resource guarding, guest issues, handling sensitivity, household conflict, or another concern that is not primarily leash reactivity, Tailored Behavior Training may be the better fit.

A focused 4-week training plan

  • Eight 45-minute private lessons

  • Two sessions weekly

  • Conducted in and around your home, with real-world exposure as appropriate

  • Includes onboarding, safety planning, customized exercises, and progress tracking

  • Individualized lesson recaps and homework

  • Between session support for questions, videos, and troubleshooting

  • Post-program plan to help you maintain progress

The program starts with communication, structure, leash handling, and threshold awareness. From there, we move into controlled trigger work, real-world exposure, and practical handling strategies you can use outside of lessons.

The goal is not to throw your dog into overwhelming situations and hope they figure it out. The goal is to build clearer communication, better decision-making, faster recovery, and more confidence on walks.
